Grief and Disability
Many parents of children with Disabilities experience feelings of guilt, sadness, frustration, and anger. This talk will help you understand where these feelings come from and how to manage them. We will explore the process of Grief that many families experience after their child is diagnosed with a Disability. We will learn that this process is a typical experience, sometimes necessary, that is part of a healthy, strong family.

Presenter Mariano Sanz
Parent of a beautiful 34-year-old young woman with Down Syndrome. He was born and raised in Spain, where he graduated from the Universidad Pontificia in Salamanca with a master's in psychology and an MFT. He moved to the USA 35 years ago to work as a bilingual educator. He has worked as a Classroom Teacher and a school Counselor for several school districts in the South Bay.
