Now Hiring: Part-Time Office Manager (Remote)

Location: Remote (Greater Los Angeles area preferred)
Hours: 15–20 hours per week
Compensation: $18–$23 per hour, based on experience


About DSALA

The Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles (DSALA) enhances the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome by fostering family engagement, encouraging connections, and promoting inclusion, acceptance, and awareness through information and community support.


Position Summary

DSALA is seeking a proactive, tech-savvy Part-Time Office Manager to support daily operations, digital communications, and community outreach. This flexible, remote role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, self-directed, and passionate about nonprofit work that makes a difference.


Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Communication Support

  • Manage daily administrative operations remotely
  • Coordinate calendars and communications among staff, partners, and volunteers
  • Organize and maintain digital records and files
  • Monitor voicemail, website inquiries, and general inboxes
  • Support virtual meetings, programs, and interns/volunteers
  • Assist with monthly bookkeeping (QuickBooks)

Digital Communications & Marketing

  • Draft and distribute DSALA’s monthly newsletter (Firespring platform)
  • Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X)
  • Track email and social media metrics
  • Design flyers and outreach materials using Canva
  • Maintain consistent branding and messaging

Website Management

  • Update DSALA’s website (Firespring) with events and announcements
  • Monitor and route website contact form submissions
  • Coordinate with external support for technical needs

Data & Donor Management

  • Maintain donor and volunteer records using Auxilia
  • Generate mailing lists and campaign reports
  • Send donor acknowledgments and assist with event data (PledgeIt)

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of administrative or nonprofit experience
  • Strong grammar and writing skills required—must be capable of drafting clear, professional newsletters and public communications
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with tools like Canva, Firespring, Mailchimp, and Google Workspace
  • Comfortable managing social media and websites
  • Familiarity with donor CRMs like Auxilia or Bloomerang is a plus
  • LA-based applicants preferred for occasional in-person events
