We are having an instructional basketball camp with an emphasiss on fundamentals, rules, technique, and league structured games. This six week program will begin Sunday July 11th at the North Hollywood recreation center and is open to all children. On Saturday, June 12, 2010, we are hosting a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament at The LA Lofts in Hollywood. Bring some friends and test your skills at the tables. You will have a chance to win some great prizes including a high def TV, a custom poker table, an Apple iPod and much more. We will have a complimentary bar and snacks (21 years and older).
If poker is not your game, you are in luck! We are raffling off an Apple iPad for just $5 a ticket. The drawing will be held at the poker tournament and you need not be present to win.
Your support will enable us to provide this very special sports program for individuals with Down syndrome, where a friend or family member is welcome to participate. Sports is a great way to connect our community, where many memorable moments and lifelong friendships are made!

DSALA's Sports Program is having an instructional basketball program in El Segundo
DSALA's community sports program wants to invite you to join us for a very special 6 week instructional basketball program for kids with Down syndrome. Your child's friend or sibling is welcome to play as well. We will have structured play, child introductions, exercise and an opportunity to meet other families within our community. Our season will conclude with a pot luck banquet, trophy ceremony, and a Parent/Coaches basketball game. All ages and abilities are welcome!
When: Every Saturday from April 10th - May 22nd

Programa de Deportes de DSALA está empezando un programa de instrucción de baloncesto en El Segundo, Ca.
Deportes Comunitarios de DSALA quiere invitarle a acompañarnos a un programa muy especial de 6 semanas de instrucción de baloncesto para niños con síndrome de Down. Los hermanitos y amiguitos de su hijo también son bienvenidos. Tendremos juego estructurado, los niños se presentaran con los otros niños, harán ejercicio, y tendrán la oportunidad de conocer a otras familias de su comunidad. Nuestra temporada concluirá con un banquete pot luck, ceremonia para repartir trofeos, y un juego de padres / entrenadores. Todas las edades y habilidades son bienvenidos!

DSALA's Community Sports program embraces the philosophy that each child will be given the opportunity to participate in every program all year round. Every child will be able to learn, progress, and excel at their own pace. Our goal is to develop structured programs where families can come together and lifelong friendships will be made. This Community Sports Program is designed to actively engage our children and create memorable moments along the way. Everyone Plays!
Please join us for the initial program of 2010 Soccer/Kickball. We will have six weeks of instructional play including exercise, child introductions, fundamental drills and a pot luck banquet with a parent/child kickball game and trophy ceremony.
