Join the Autism Society and AMC Theatres this Summer at Sensory Friendly Films!
AMC Theatres (AMC) and the Autism Society have teamed up to bring families of people with autism and other disabilities a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis with the "Sensory Friendly Films" program.
In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for this unique audience, the movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down, families will be able to bring in their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown before the movie. Additionally, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing - in other words, AMC’s “Silence is Golden®” policy will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is questioned.
Tickets are $4-6 depending on location and can be purchased on the day of the event.

Please join us for the new semester of Free 2 Be Me Dance, an adaptive dance program specifically for children ages 7 to 18 years old with Down syndrome. Free 2 Be Me Dance is sponsored by the Westside School of Ballet in Santa Monica.
The mission of Free 2 Be Me Dance is to provide a positive, creative and fun-filled experience for children with Down syndrome by enriching their lives with challenging movement, rhythmical music, deep friendships, and a sense of personal accomplishment.
Free 2 Be Me Dance is now accepting enrollments for our fall semester 2011! We will be offering 2 classes again this year, Ballet l and Ballet ll. If you are new to our program, please look at the Ballet l schedule for your child.

November 6 is the final class
Time: 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
